Human Rights Policy

Declaration of Human Rights Management
by Seoul Tourism Organization

We, the Seoul Tourism Organization, are dedicated to leading the change and development of Seoul tourism in partnership with citizens. In pursuit of this goal, we hereby jointly declare our commitment to Human Rights Management. This declaration shall serve as our guiding standard of conduct and value judgment.

Principles of Our Commitment:
  • 1.

    We pledge to uphold international criteria and norms that prioritize the values of human rights, labor, environmental protection, and anti-corruption in all our management activities, always keeping people at the forefront.

  • 2.

    To promote sustainable tourism in Seoul, we actively engage in open communication with all stakeholders, including our executives, employees, affiliated organizations, partner companies, citizens, and tourists visiting Seoul. We value their opinions and input.

  • 3.

    We unequivocally reject discrimination based on gender, nationality, religion, disability, age, politica orientation, or social status among all our stakeholders and employees.

  • 4.

    We ensure the freedom of association and collective bargaining to protect the rights of our workforce.

  • 5.

    We provide a safe and welcoming working environment for our employees at Seoul Tourism Plaza, and we prohibit forced labor and child labor in any form.

  • 6.

    We protect the tourism rights of both domestic and international visitors to Seoul.

  • 7.

    We respect the human rights of local residents in areas where our tourism promotion activities take place.

  • 8.

    We are committed to complying with domestic and international environmental laws and regulations and to protecting the environment for the well-being of future generations.

  • 9.

    We are committed to not compromising the safety of people in our business activities and to rigorously protect the personal information collected for our work.

  • 10.

    We recognize the gravity of human rights violations such as bullying, sexual harassment, and secondary abuse in the workplace. We proactively strive to prevent such violations and promptly and appropriately address any incidents that may occur.

  • 11.

    We steadfastly refrain from engaging in any transactions or cooperation with institutions, organizations,or individuals involved in human rights-violating management activities.
